In my previous writing of Switzerland, I used to Colombia as a contrast y to tell similarities. It could be very useful because it probably help us up to know easier the European nation. This time we will get back to compare the cultures of these two countries using the Hofstade's cultural dimensions. They are six indices that show some aspects of the culture in a country. These indices are: power distance, masculinity, indulgence, long term orientation, individualism and uncertainty avoidance.  Now I will show you a graph with the cultural dimensions of Colombia vs. Switzerland.                                     Wow! you can see quite a difference between the developed country and the South American. let's start with the most similar that it's about we talked the last week. Hello everyone. I was absent from the blog for a few days, after arriving and spending some time getting to know several cities.  I was delighted with the city of Bern, it is a marvel from beginning to end. I also want to tell you that I have visited several historical and cultural places in Switzerland, which I will be sharing with all of you in a future post.  In the following, I want to talk about something that called my attention, this about personalities, beliefs or stereotypes that are had of people, men and women in the society. What I thought of the Swiss:

Image
The first time I thought about Switzerland and the people there, I realized that I knew too little. however, I was able to get a picture. When I was a boy I really liked a serie about a Swiss girl  named Heidi and her peasant family from the Alps. I remember his distinctive clothing and I thought that this country atmosphere and the beautiful landscapes were all over the country. Besides that, I only knew how famous Swiss chocolate is and a multipurpose knife, which caused a great impact in the world, came out of there.  I will draw a picture of what I imagined to find if I ever pass in this country. I think that like me, many people would imagine this of the Swiss. Dress in a traditional way, enjoy a country life and fresh air and the famous best chocolate in the world. I just think so.

What's this about?
